How to download Pinterest board sections

Sections split a Pinterest board into smaller groups — "Islands", "Lighting" and "Colors" inside a "Kitchen ideas" board, for example. When you download a board, you usually want those groups kept.

The catch: section pins are easy to miss

On Pinterest, the pins inside sections are loaded separately from the rest of the board. A tool that only reads the main board feed will quietly skip them. A board showing 21 pins might really hold 24, with 4 of them tucked inside a section.

Download a whole board, sections included

1. Open the board — not a section.
2. Click Download board, then Download all.
3. In the ZIP, each section gets its own folder; pins outside sections sit at the top level.

The section column in manifest.csv also records which section each pin came from.

Download a single section

1. Open the board and click the section you want.
2. Click Download board. Moodstash saves only that section, in a ZIP named after the board and section.

Choosing pins across sections

Use Choose pins to pick specific pins from the whole board, sections included. Each file keeps its board position in its name, so your picks stay in order.
